Before submitting go through journal and article metrics and indexing
Overall Journal Metrics
Journal metrics help assess the overall influence of a journal’s
published content rather than the impact of an individual author’s work.
Most providers of journal-level metrics are selective and apply rigorous
evaluation processes. These typically include an assessment of the journal’s
potential citation impact, along with quality standards such as publication
ethics, research integrity practices, peer review models, and other key
criteria.
Article level Metrics
Article-level metrics offer insights into the specific impact of your
individual research, including media attention, reproducibility, and reuse.
They go beyond citation counts to capture a broader picture of how your work
is being engaged with. These metrics are designed to showcase the
scientific, educational, and societal impact of research outputs, both
within the research community and beyond.
As a signatory of DORA, we are dedicated to providing
a wider range of metrics openly to promote responsible research assessment
and to help authors better understand the full impact of their work.
Below is the revised table with one–two line
descriptions and the relevant website links retained
for each metric.
